Maximilian Vorast studied controlling and finance in the automotive industry before dedicating to a Master of Science in Sustainable Development and Resource Management. He worked and studied in the UK, Philippines, India, Germany and Austria. He found his way to agrivoltaics in 2018, when starting to work for Fraunhofer ISE. Since then he contributed to several studies including feasibility and scoping studies for agrivoltaics. His main focus lays in the agrivoltaic technology assessment and innovation transfer in the development context. For a technology scoping study which analyses the viability of agrivoltaics for India he prepared a comprehensive overview of international experiences and their applicability for India. His dream is to one day see all Indian farmers living in sustainable prosperity with the help of solar PV energy and modern agriculture. In his free time he loves to hike and read books on Indian contemporary history.
