The Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) came into effect in India in 2019, and one of the expected outcomes of the ALMM was the increase in the manufacturing of high-quality domestic PV technologies and the reduced dependence on imports. The Government of India also has been implementing the Production Linked Incentives (PLI) scheme with the objective of boosting Indian PV manufacturing industry. In this session, the influence of these policies on the domestic manufacturing industry will be debated.
